COLÓN THEATRE

This building is an iconic emblem of the city of Buenos Aires, fascinating on the outside and dazzling inside.

Colón Theatre, a masterpiece of the Italian architect Francisco Tamburini, is internationally renowned and one of the main opera houses in the world,  a distinction it shares with the Scala in Milano, the Opera in Paris, the Metropolitan Opera in New York, the Bolshoi in Moscow, and the National Theatre in Munich.

During your visit you can enjoy the wonderful central hall, where you will appreciate its clearly Greco-Roman lines and the natural lighting reminding of the one achieved by the great vitreaux of Gaudin’s house in Paris. You will love walking and taking pictures on the main stairs built in Carrara, Verona and Portugal marble, illuminated all day long to surprise visitors.
